We hope you find these frequently asked questions helpful before you consider getting in touch with us. If you don’t find the answers you are looking for contact us.

Question: Interesting ideas! but I still can’t find what I’m looking for. Can you guys give me more suggestions?

Answer: Yes! We have done lots of ‘one – offs’ to match unique themes/ideas.  Given enough time and specifications we will always find you an appropriate solution or will happily refer you to someone who can.

Q: How much do your acts cost?

A:  They all vary in price. For more information on this read about our fees and fill out a quote request form or simply contact us directly for a more immediate response.

Q: How far in advance do I need to book?

A: It’s particularly important to give us enough notice if you are thinking of having us at seasonal times of the year (all those Christmas parties, Easter events, Valentines… you get the picture). This also applies if you require us to create something different to what you have seen on the site. If you are booking an existent act, 3-4 weeks is great because it helps us tremendously when planning our time. Last minute bookings are also welcomed! We will always try our best at pulling it off.

Q: Do I need a permit from the venue if I’m considering booking you fire show?

A: For indoor fire shows, most grade A listed buildings will not allow any type of fire show. We have done a great deal of indoor fire shows from conference rooms, night clubs, exhibition halls and marquees. Just to name a few! Laws vary from county to country, make sure you research the laws and check with your venue authorities. Contact us for a password to download our insurance, this will often be requested to issue permits or satisfy the venue's requirements.

Q: Do you have insurance?

A: Yes, in various forms. We are proud members of Equity and are covered by public liability insurance Contact Us to get a password to view / download these documents directly from the site.

If you have a password then you can find these documents HERE!

Q: Have you ever had any accidents?

A: We are very proud to say that we carry out at every single performance our safety procedures that done correctly leave no room for error. Following these means that the fire should NEVER be out of our immediate control. We have an impeccable record and references can be provided upon request. Read more about Flaming Funs Safety.

Q: Do you ever get burnt?

A: Yes, this tends to happen when playing with fire! (Remember you play with fire you get burnt!) Although at this stage only minor burns (to us!!!) from time to time, it’s like a visit from a distant relative... a little bit annoying!
Don’t try this alone or without any guidance or training. Fire gets out of control quicker than you think! If you are keen to learn how to fire dance, get yourself some practice equipment, a book or just download information of the internet before you consider playing with fire. Flaming Fun accepts no responsibility for injuries or death arising from such actions.

Q: What happens if you are due to perform outdoors and the good old’ wind and rain decide to kick in?

A: For various reasons (costume durability and moral) we cannot be expected to perform in the rain, if the entertainer has arrived, ready to perform and has made reasonable attempts at finding an alternative area you will be invoiced for the amount agreed on the contract.

Q: How much space do you need?

A: Our acts have their area requirements listed in their categories character stilts, face painting, fire shows, ground walkabout acts, jugglers, spark shows, living statues, glow shows and dancers.

Q: Do I need to arrange a safe area for you to change and rest between performances?

A: Yes, especially if we are performing more than one act for you, things can get a little too tricky otherwise.
