Need a light? They can help with that! Trouble seeing in the dark? Let them be your guide! The Living Lamp Posts are a marvellous moving display of ornate light and colour.

The Living Lamp Posts are available to perform a maximum of 3 x 30-minute sets per day at public events and festivals. For corporate events they can do 1 x 60-minute set in a fixed position either side of the entrance to welcome guests as they arrive.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
DRESSING ROOMS – PREPARATION AREAS
These Living Lamp Posts are veritable giants and stand quite a bit taller than many acts. As such it is strongly recommended that they are giving a dressing room space to get ready in with at least 11 or 12 feet of head clearance.
The dressing room must be on the ground floor with step-free access to the performance areas and minimal numbers of doors to get through. The Living Lamp Posts are much bigger than most stilt acts.
They cannot accept toilets as dressing rooms.
If there are no inside spaces with high ceilings then an outdoor space such as a secure yard would be fine. The performers would still need a normal well-lit indoor room in addition to the yard to use as a place where they apply their makeup and take their breaks. Any outdoor space must be secure as the performers will need to leave equipment there during their performances.

ASSISTANTS
The Lamp Posts will require an assistant on the ground to help them get ready, open doors and offer technical assistance when required. They can either provide a member of their own team (for an additional fee) or are happy to work with a member of the event’s team provided they are able to stay with the performers throughout their preparation and performance time.
PARKING
Performers will require a parking space on site suitable for a mid-sized van for unloading and loading of costumes and equipment.
CHAPERONES
At busy and crowded events people can become a little overenthusiastic to get their pictures taken with such a lovely act. In this instance a chaperone will be needed for crowd control purposes. This could either be provided by a member of the event staff or the performers can provide one of their own team for an additional fee.
PERFORMANCE SPACE
The route between the dressing room areas and performance space should be entirely step-free.
The route between the dressing room area and performance space should be no more than a few minutes’ walk, the performers will start their performance time from the moment they leave their dressing room so it’s best for everyone to keep spaces close together.
The Living Lamp Posts are from the Victorian days and as such prefer not to walk long distances, please do not plan long walking routes for them without discussing it in advance.
SET TIMES
The Living Lamp Posts are a very physical act and it is quite exhausting for the performers, as such they must be very strict about their set times.
The Living Lamp Posts are available to perform a maximum of 3 x 30-minute sets per day at public events and festivals. For corporate party type events they can do 1 x 60-minute set in a fixed position either side of the entrance to welcome guests as they arrive.
The performers will not perform longer than their agreed sets. Their set times begin from the moment they enter the performance space. If a client would like them pre-set in an area before guests arrive then the set begins when they are in position, not from when the first guest arrives.
WEATHER CONDITIONS
The Living Lamp Posts are susceptible to heavy wind and rain so can’t perform in stormy conditions.
