A Taiko Performance is a dynamic, highly visual stage spectacle, perfectly suited to any kind of event or festival. In 2011, the UK based group performed at high-profile festivals such as the London Jazz Festival and BBC Proms in the Park, as well as full-length concerts at theatres across the UK including: Edinburgh Usher Hall, Gateshead Sage, Birmingham Town Hall, Basingstoke Anvil, and performances as far afield as Europe, Asia & the Middle East.
The set presents the most energetic and dynamic pieces in a compact & fast-paced performance. Length of set and size of group / drum set-up is flexible to suit any occasion. Their image and costume is modern and dynamic, suitable for any type of event that needs a demonstration of high-energy, rhythmic teamwork & choreographed movement. A more traditional “Japanese” costume option is also available for “themed” settings. In addition to company events, private functions, exhibitions & conventions, they also offer large-scale performances at sporting events, special commissions and team-building workshops.
